This presentation will provide an update on some of the hot topics in HR and employment law impacted by the non-stop, energized Trump administration and what the future holds. Though at times arguably unpredictable, the Trump administration’s intentions in terms of impacting the workplace have never really been in doubt. The question is how smoothly and efficiently the current administration has been (and will be) able to change the framework established by the Obama administration. With that in mind, we will explore the progress so far and offer insight, “predictions,” and guidance to prepare you for navigating the world of employment law into 2019 and beyond.

Below is a brief list of some of the questions we will try to entertain:

    1. What in the world is happening at the U.S. Department of Labor?
    2. Will wage and hour issues remain on center stage?
    3. What’s the story with the EEOC and the #MeToo and LGBTQ movements?
    4. The NLRB – plowing forward to “right” the “wrongs” of the Obama administration?
    5. Will our employment world become more, or less, complicated?
