    Because of the abundance of scientific studies correlating employee happiness with employee retention and performance, business development and HR publications contain a plethora of strategies to build employee happiness. These strategies can range in complexity, beginning with the simple act of thanking employees. Because of the reality of legal risk inherent in almost any HR or management initiative, many employers are hesitant to implement new strategies, even where there is some promise of positive change. While risk cannot be eliminated, this presentation will provide you with approaches to encouraging cultural improvement that have been vetted for minimal legal risk.
