    Diversity and inclusion work isn’t easy, but here is a secret: It can be some of the most important and rewarding work you’ll ever do! The key is choosing to start – or if you’ve already started, to take your current focus to the next level.

    Join a panel of professionals for an honest discussion on:

    • the benefits of inclusion and diversity

    • the challenges experienced

    • and practical steps we can each take to make real progress in advancing diversity and

      inclusion

    • What does diversity mean to you? What does inclusion mean to you?

    • If your CEO or head of your organization is asking why we should spend time at all

      talking about diversity and inclusion, what do you say?

    • What’s most important when beginning to build a diversity and inclusion strategy?

    • Is unconscious bias in your workplace and is it an unintended by-product built into your

      hiring process? How can we hold ourselves and each other accountable to understand

      and address our personal unconscious biases?

    • With limited time, money and resources, how do you meet the needs of so many

      diverse groups – women, people of color, LGBTQ+ people, individuals with disabilities,

      veterans, people from so many different faiths and backgrounds?

    • How do we help others understand the system of racial inequality? Why is this an area

      of focus for the YWCA and what is the YW doing to educate businesses at large?

    Expert Panelists:

    Ben Allatt, Vice-President of Human Resources, Harrisburg University;

    Sue Heckler, Director of Community Services, Developmental Enterprises Corporation;

    Iron Mountain;

    Stacey Woodland, CEO, YWCA Tri-County Area;

    Susan Wieser, Program Manager for Work Restoration Dept., Coatesville VA Medical Center;

    Krista Deguffroy, Workforce Development, SEI
