    Learning Objectives:

This a Title VII primer. In this program, we will review the basics of when Title VII applies and to what classes of individuals.  Ms. Reger will then go through a legal case – what an employee would be required to prove either by direct or circumstantial evidence – if they were to make a Title VII claim.  Assuming the employee meets their initial burden, she will review what the employer would need to do to rebut that evidence.  Assuming the employer meets their burden the burden shifts back to the employee and we will review what they need to prove to ultimately be successful.  In this program we will review one case study that weaves through the entire presentation.  It provides insight to employers on how they need to look at things from the legal perspective before taking action to make sure they are not creating a claim for themselves.
